Istanbul, part III - Hagia Sophia (ii)

Brunch

An actual Turkish kebab in Turkey

What was I expecting from the Hagia Sophia? No more and no less. The book that really cemented my burning desire to see it in person was Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian. The Istanbul I visited was very different to the one that was in the book; the Istanbul in the book was far more romanticised. Maybe I will go back one day and see if my opinion changes. The months, the days, the seasons and the surroundings.
