St. Petersburg, part XXIII - Winter Palace Зимний дворец (iii)



This entry and the next are mostly going to be photo entries because I'm an unrefined ruffian who doesn't have much to say about paintings. I did enjoy the ornate interior and frescoes and upholstery, though, and thought that it was very fitting for imperial families living in the 18th century, which indeed it was. Somehow it reminded me a little of Vienna. Mozart playing the piano would completely blend into the background.

Phrase of the day: "The only person you have to answer to is yourself." Words to live by.
